Mr. Shockey served Alcoa for 35 years in a variety of roles focused on environmental, health and safety, as well as manufacturing operations. Mr. Shockey retired from Alcoa as its Corporate Safety Director, where he was responsible for developing strategies to improve the company’s global safety performance in its drive toward zero injuries. As a critical part of that role, his group focused on both human and operational performance directed toward fatality prevention worldwide for both employees and contractors.

Mr. Shockey is President of Safety Systems Strategies LLC, providing consulting services including: litigation support services, risk assessment and impact analysis, incident investigation and causal factor analysis, strategic safety system development, leadership coaching and implementation support.
