Paul is a co-founding principal of Value Capture, LLC. In his leadership capacity, he helps oversee all of Value Capture's partnership engagements, ensuring that knowledge transfer and skill development occur as rapidly as possible. Paul’s guidance helps ensure that Value Capture is focused effectively on aiding achievements “on the ground.”

Prior to returning to Pittsburgh, in July of 2003, Paul held the position of Vice President of Counseling at The Ayco Company, a Goldman Sachs Company. Paul began his tenure at the Ayco Company's Irvine California office in 1993 after having served as an associate attorney at Buchanan Ingersoll from 1990-1993.

In 2021, Paul cofounded The Pittsburgh Futures Collaborative, which endeavors to enable all people who live in the Pittsburgh region to thrive and reach their full potential. Paul serves on the Executive Committee of the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Foundation and is the Chair of the Investment Committee. He also serves on the Social and Economic Policy Board of the RAND Corporation and the Advisory Board of the Andy Warhol Museum. Paul is a founding board member of the Lindsay Theater and Cultural Center in Sewickley, Pennsylvania. Since 2001, Paul has acted as the president of the O’Neill Charitable Trust, primarily supporting Western Pennsylvania regional nonprofits including the Neighborhood Academy and RiverLife.

Paul and his wife Celine enjoy spending time with family, traveling and playing duplicate bridge.
